Rooms
Our Heritage rooms date back to the Georgian era of the late 1700 to early 1800.
“Georgian Dublin” describes an important chapter in the city’s history, starting in 1714 during the reign of the four King Georges. The period is recognised for its elegant, unified architectural style, inspired by Palladian architecture and is reflected in many of Dublin’s public and private buildings.
Today, “Georgian Dublin” refers to the surviving buildings from this period whose distinctive architectural style, celebrated in the writings of James Joyce, continues to attract visitors from across the globe.
