Located in the Phoenix Park in the heart of Dublin city, Dublin Zoo is Ireland’s most popular family attraction, and welcomed over one million visitors last year.
You can grab a taxi, or you can walk the short distance to O’Connell Street and hop on a bus which will drop you outside the entrance of the zoo.
Dublin Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the World. Dating back to 1831, it is currently home to over 400 animals At the zoo, you will be able to learn loads of interesting facts about all of the different animals, including endangered species.

From March to September these events take place daily. From October to February they take place on weekends. These daily events can vary depending on the welfare of the animals. Dublin Zoo outline that conserving the habitat for animals is at the top of their priority list.
